Howard Rollins

Balitmore-born Howard Rollins studied theater in his time at Towson (when it was Towson State College). He appeared in a numver of shows including Christopher Columbus, Dance of Death, and the Twelfth Night. He dropped out of TSC in 1970 to star in the PBS soap opera Our Street. He made his film debut in Ragtime, for whihc he received a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the 1982 Oscars. In 1996, he unfortunately passed away at the young age of 46. 

He is mentioned as one of the students remembered by Whitney J. LeBlanc in an interview with Allyn Lawrence for the Unearthing Towson’s History Project.
