Chris LaMartina is a writer, producer and director who has created some recent cult horror films. In 2007, he had his local premiere of the feature-length film “Book of Lore” at the Charles in Baltimore. LaMartina wrote the film during his junior year and produced the project as a part of an independent study for academic credit. He recalled that,
“The time I could have spent in class, I used working on the movie.”
The film went on to win Best Horror Feature at the ShockerFest International Horror Film Festival with a humble budget of $8,000 against productions backed by million-dollar budgets. He has gone on to create innovative horror films such as WNUF Halloween Special, Presidents Day, and Call Girl of Cthulhu.
