Scarborough Hall

Scarborough Hall

Constructed: 1964

Scarborough Hall is a co-ed residence hall housing 160 students located at the corner of York Road and Burke Avenue. The building is named for alumna Mary Hudson Scarborough, principal of the Model Elementary School at the Maryland State Normal School from 1899 to 1907.

The class of 1967 gifted the school a rock garden, constructed between Scarborough and neighboring Prettyman Hall. Today the garden contains a small fountain and landscape plantings for students and visitors to enjoy.
