- Description
- Photograph of Scarborough Hall, built in 1964 and named in honor of Mary Hudson Scarborough who died in 1953. Mary Hudson Scarborough was in the class of 1891 and faculty member of the Maryland State Normal School and State Teachers College at Towson. She was appointed principal of the Model School, the elementary school on campus in 1899. In 1907, she became the mathematics teacher at the Normal School and remained in that position until her retirement in 1937. She served as Alumni Field Secretary until 1947. Scarborough Hall is a residence hall with space for about 160 students.
