The College of Liberal Arts

The College of Liberal Arts provides undergraduate and graduate programs in a diverse variety of areas of study including history, language, and cultural studies. Established in 1982, this college aims to give students the opportunity to develop foundational skills that are applicable across disciplines.

 

Towson's University Archives has collected materials from the CLA's creation through the present in an effort to record a history of the college's role at Towson and the contributions of its students and faculty to our collective resources.

Women's Studies Collection

The Women's Studies Collection follows the creation and evolution of one of the first women's studies programs in the country, now the College of Liberal Arts' Department of Women's and Gender Studies.

Student Literary Magazines

The student literary magazine has been produced by students at Towson University since 1952, starting as the Publication. It has also been named Towers (1957-1960), the Talisman (1961-1967), the Grub Street Wit (1968-1989), and Grub Street (1990-present)

Baltimore Hebrew Institute Materials

This collection includes rare books, artifacts, WWII-era Jewish Cultural Reconstruction books, Holocaust survivor testimonies and Yizkor (memorial) books from across Europe, as well as Baltimore Hebrew University records.
