Women Waging War and Peace discussion event listing

Monday November 7, 2011 3:30 PM Chesapeake 2 Women Waging War and Peace The 2011 Nobel Peace Prize was recently awarded jointly to three women "for their non-violent struggle for the safety of women and for women's rights to full participation in peace-building work." The edited studies of other women who have acted as agents of change during times of conflict and post-conflict. Baltimore's own Lauren Abramson, is one of the featured peacemakers in the collection. Join us for a panel discussion on the book that will include Dr. Lauren Abramson, chapter author, Dr. Jennifer Langdon (Assistant Professor with the Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Criminal Justice) and other contributors to the collection.
