BALTIMORE CITY, Principal, and the UNITED STATES FIDELITY AND GUARANTY COMPANY, Baltimore, Maiyland, surety, are firmly bound unto THE MARYLAND STATE NORMAL SCHOOL BUILDING COMMISSION, Obligee, in the sum of TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($10,000.00) for the payment whereof said principal and said Surety bind themselves, their successors and assigns, Jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. WHEREAS, the said Obligee has loaned the said principal TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($10,000.00) and has received from said principal its notes agreeing to pay same upon thirty days' notice . NOW, THEREFORE, the condition of this obligation is such that if the principal shall during the term of this bond faith¬ fully account for and pay on said notice of thirty days the said sum of TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($10,000.00) or any part thereof, thirty days' demand of the payment of which may have been given said principal by said Obligee, then this obligation shall be null and void, otherwise to remain in full force and effect . PROVIDED, HOWEVER, and upon the following conditions-. FIRST. The term of this bond begins on the fifteenth day of September, A. D. 1914, and ends on the fifteenth day of September, A. D. 1915, and no liability shall accrue here¬ under unless said principal shall fail and suspend payment during said term. SECOND. If the principal defaults, the obligee shall within twenty days deliver a verified statement of the facts showing such default and date thereof to the surety at its
