Donna L. Faith, ELED ’79, is completing her
doctorate at the University of Maryland. She
has taught science in the Washington County,
Md., school system for 10 years, and will be
participating in the Maryland Professional
Development Academy Internship Program
in school administration during the upcom¬
ing school year.
Brian W* Harris, BUAD '82, is branch chief of
accounting control and payments for the
Department of Health and Human Services in
Rockville, Md.
Brian P. Strieker, MATH '82, is assistant actu¬
ary for the Baltimore Life Insurance Com¬
pany. He joined the company in 1983 as an
actuarial trainee and received his ASA designa¬
tion in 1987. He and his wife, Joan, live in
Parkville, Md.
Michael J. McAvoy, SCED '83, was chosen as
the teacher historian for the Harford County,
Md., Public Schools. He also received the
George Washington medal, which is awarded
by the National Capital Historical Society.
Gregg Wolff, BIOL '83, graduated last spring
from the University of Maryland Medical
School. He is beginning a five-year residency
in orthopedic surgery at the University of
Maryland Hospital and has also been com¬
missioned as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy
Reserve.
Christopher Culotta, BUAD '84, is vice presi¬
dent of sales and marketing at Americom Cel¬
lular Communications, where he was pre¬
viously director of sales. He earned his M.B.A.
degree from the University of Baltimore.
Mark P. Brugh, GEOG, '80, is a lawclerk in the
Fourth judicial CircuitCourtof Maryland. He
received his law degree last May from the
University of Baltimore.
Dennis Caprio, SOCI '80, is a salesman at Her¬
itage Oldsmobile in Baltimore.
Charles J. Fitzgibbon, MCOM '80, has been
named vice president of public relations at
TheSandlerGroup,a Baltimore-based public
relations, advertising and marketing com¬
munications firm. He was previously director
of public relations.
Elaine P. Kalman, ECED '80, lives in Alexan¬
dria, Va., and teaches in Fairfax County.

David Buftner, BUAD '81, accepted a transfer
to Stamford, Conn., where he will be working
with Deloitte Haskins and Sells' national
director of consulting services for a two-year
period. He had been with the firm's Baltimore
management consulting practice since 1984.
He and his wife, Stephanie, expect their first
child in October.
Catherine Nardiello, MUSC '81, an interna¬
tional pianist, debuted in France and Ger¬
many last summer. She also gave two concerts
in Holland in February and was interviewed
on Radio Netherlands.
Zenas Sykes, BIOL '81, recently joined Dun¬
kin' Donuts Inc. as construction manager for
the Southeastern United States. He and his
wife, Paula Recknor Sykes '77, are expecting
their second child.
Dawne Royo, EDUC '79, M.S. ISTC '85, a
school library media specialist at Guil¬
ford Elementary in Columbia, Md., re¬
ceived the

state's most outstanding school library
media program. The award, which is
sponsored by the Maryland Educational
Media Organization, was presented at
the organization's annual conference.
Gary P. Townsend, BUAD '79, is vice
president and commercial loan team
leader for the York, Pa., region of Com¬
monwealth National Bank. He was pre¬
viously vice president and commercial
loan officer with Dauphin Deposit Bank
and Trust Company of Harrisburg, Pa.
He is a 1986 graduate of the Central
Atlantic School of Commercial Lending
at Bucknell University.
Ellery Eskelin, MUSC '82, is a jazz saxo¬
phonist with a solo album scheduled for
release this fall. He recently returned
from a European tour. A resident of New
York City, he is a chess enthusiast and
participated in the New York Open last
spring.
