ROUGH DRAFT ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION OF TOWSON STUDENT ASSOCIATION, INC. FIRST: The undersigned, Charles A. Johnson, whose post office address is [personal information redacted], being at least twenty-one (21) years of age, does hereby form a corporation under the General Laws of the State of Marylando SECOND: The name of the Corporation (which is hereinafter called the "Corporation") is TOWSON STUDENT ASSOCIATION, INC. THIRD: The purposes for which the Corporation is formed are as follows: 1) To provide a means for responsible and effective student participation in the organization of student affairs. 2) To provide a representative student organization with powers to receive student complaints and investigate student problems. 3) To take action in the best interest of the student body and college community. 4) To provide a voice through which student opinion may be expressedo 5) To provide means whereby students may gain experience and training in responsible political participation and community leadership, and 6) To foster awareness of the student's position in the campus, local, state, national, and international communities. 7) Invest monies. FOURTH: The post office address of the principal office of the Corporation in Maryland is Towson State College, Baltimore County, State of Maryland 21204. The name and post office address of the Resident Agent of the Corporation in Maryland is said resident agent is a citizen of Maryland and actually reBides therein. FIFTH: The Corporation shall be a non-stick Corporation and po dividends or pecuniary profit shall be declared to the member~ thereof.
