Jim Addy came from behind to overcome Faye Davis and win the key position in the Student Government Association in yester-day's final election. Jim, who graduated from Poly-technic Institute in February of 1951, along with his opponent is in the junior high program here at State Teachers. A ten-point program constituted Jim's platform and campaign speech for the presidency. He ad-vocated a thorough investigation and definite action concerning day-dorm relationship in the new student center. He also believes that there should be more careful budgeting of the student funds. Mr. Addy mentioned that he would do all in his power to have as-sembly programs more to the wishes of the students and to have them non-compulsory. He also added that the Student Govern-ment members at large should be stricter in their decisions concern-ing the students that they repre-sent. To close his message to the stu-dents, during the hour on Wednes-day morning prior to the primary election devoted to speeches, he left the students with this thought, ""If I can be of service to you I await your call."" During the election last spring, Jim served on the election com-mittee along with Jack Hogsten, Keith Wilson, and Bob Stevens, the former vice-president of the SGA.
