The upperclassmen�numbering more than 600�return today to complete their spring registration. The more than 260 freshmen will wind up their busy orientation schedules. Classes begin Monday. Already, the machinery of student government is in action. Key officers have been at work over the summer and during the past week in planning sessions and in meetings with President Hawkins and the college deans. Exclusive of student activities, the college administration has made numerous im-provements and additions on the campus over the summer. The maintenance crew has painted the interior of much of the administration building. New lighting fixtures have been installed in the entrance foyer and the central hall. The offices of administration have been consolidated. Deans Dowell and Stover have separate offices in the main office adjacent to that of Dr. Hawkins. The Registrar's of-fice and the Business office have been interchanged. The Admissions office has been moved to what was formerly the lounge for faculty men. A central mail room has been set up opposite the president's office. Room 103 has been divided into four offices for the directors of practice. As this paper goes to press, at least nine new faculty have been signed. (Their names and department assign-ments appear on this page.) Mr. Karl J. Moser, formerly 'treasurer for the Baltimore City Junior college, has assumed his duties as full-time Business Manager. Miss Beatrice Seelig and Mrs. Josephine Wagemanri have joined the staff of residence supervisors. The mimeograph department has been placed under the direction of the Registrar's Office. And the school mimeo-graph machine has been supplemented with an up-to--date Multigraph.. The faculty have completed two full days of pre-regis-tration conferences and general meetings. New mail boxes have been purchased for the students. atil The downstairs foyer in the administration building will be made into a student mail center and study nook, Floures-cent lighting, new mail boxes and wall desks will be install-ed. 411 The Coed Corner has been painted and redecorated. And the stage and auditorium have been repaired. A new office has been set up in the Newell foyer for the Dormitory Business office. ANNOUNCEMENT John G.
