""If the family physician ad-vises against such X-rays or if a student has been X-rayed with-in the last six months, the stu-dent should see Dr. Patrick C. Phelan, college physician, in the Health Center,"" Dean Murphy continued. Dean Murphy noted that in her ten years here at Towson, two active cases of TB have been dis-covered. ""Had X-rays not been com-pulsory here at school, these cases might not have been dis-covered until too late,"" she com-mented. Thus the X-rays are a protec-tion for each student on campus. They also serve a preventative role in checking the spread of tubercular germs. Lists will be posted on all bulletin boards giving the time each student is to report. ""All should check these lists but may go at any time if the line is not too long,"" she added. ""All metal objects such as pins, tie tacs, medals, and pens should be removed from clothing and pockets,"" she concluded. Summer, Fall Federal Loans Now Available Students who wish to apply for federal loans for the summer session of 1963 and/or the fall and spring sessions of 1963-64 must secure the application forms in the Business Office, fill out the forms, and send them to Miss Nina Hughes, Chairman of the Committee on Loans. The deadline for receipt of applications is April 22. Students must meet the fol-lowing requirements to be eli-gible for loans from this fund: They must demonstrate real financial need, have good academic and citizenship standing, be citizens or per-inanent residents of the United States, and be willing to sign a loyalty oath.
