Diane Studenberg introduced ten additions and ammendments to the Election Code and all were Passed as presented. Several changes were made in election procedures. Among these was a reduction in Freshman elections to one day kr first final and second final elections each. Pre-viously two days had been allotted to each voting period land this had caused some Misunderstanding. Also, th- terms first final and second final are now clarified to Registration - A Skill Game With New Rules All Towson students returning next semester must complete registration on Feb. 5. To be eligible to register, students must }lave a receipt for payment of second semester fees from the 8us1ness Office. Under the nominations section, a statement was added allowing a simple majority of the nominat-ing committee to select nominees for offices if a two-third majority vote could be obtained on a second vote. Sue Parkhurst, SGA social chairman, then proposed a Social Policy, explaining that such a policy was new to the college. Richard Moss moved that the suggested regulations be amend-ed by the deletion of a state-ment which required the permis-sion of the Student Life Council to hold dances off campus. In fact, Anne is a champion cherry pie baker! She won this title in Baltimore County, 1960. Anne, a 20-year old Towson junior majoring in elementary education, has been a member of the Glen Arm Girls 4-H Club since she was 10 years old. Dur-ing this time Anne has become a real pro in the canning and baked foods categories. Besides a champion cherry pie baker, she is also a canning champ! To date she has canned 2,025 quarts of fruits and vegetables, and prepared 436 glasses of jelly and 474 quarts of frozen foods. Anne was Maryland's representative in the can-ning category at the National 4-II Club Conges.s, November 25-29, 1962. The librarians will be Dr. Felix E. Hirsch, Director of Library and professor of History, Tren-ton State College; Miss Bernar-dine C. Hanby, library director at Northern Illinois University; and Mr. Frank Jones, Director of Baltimore's Peabody Library. The guests will arrive on Tues-day evening, January 22 and re-main until Friday, Jan. 25. They will analyze our present library resources in the light of our expected expansion. 4-H Club Congress in Chicago,"" she stated. Sharing ideas with other 4-H'ers was a marvel-ous experience."" ""During the 5 days of the Congress, we went sight-seeing, worked on com-mittees, and heard lectures. Arthur Godfrey and his trick horse entertained a group of delegates at the International Live Stock Exposition."" Anne has kept records on vari-ous 4-R projects such as citizen-ship, leadership, clothing, public speaking, canning, foods, child care and gardening. She is now a junior 4-H leader and plays (Continued on Page 4) Heart Couple Crowning Tops Feb. 9 Ball The Sweetheart Dance, slated for Saturday. Feb. 9 at the Fifth Regiment Armory, will feature Count Basie and his Orchestra. The Sweetheart Couple will be named during the dance. The Sweetheart girl will receive a bouquet of long stem roses. while both members of the couple will get gift certificates. Jewelry will be given to the girls of the Sweet-heart Court. Sue Parkhurst, chairman of the dance. announced that re-freshments will be served. ""Park'ng facilities will be available on State Office parking lots A, B, C, and D,"" she added. Students may obtain tickets with their student activity cards, but admission for non-Towsonites will be $2.50. Tickets will also be sold at the door on the night of the dance. Exams Start Tuesday, Run For A Week Final examinations for first semester will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 22 and continue through Jan. 29. Monday, Jan. 21, is re-served as a reading day prior to exams and no classes will meet on this day. At the end of the first four testing days students can ease their tensions at a Jam Session sponsored by the Senior class. The dance will take place in the Student Center at 8:30 p.m. Fri-day night. Jan. 25. Tuesday. Jan. n is the last day of the current semester.
