Tex Beneke Decorations Underway For Year's Big Dance by Jeni Decker Those persons going to the Sweetheart Dance will benefit from the six thousand dollars worth of decorations. The job was done by professionals for a dance previously held in the armory. The charge made to S.T.C. for using the decorations is five hundred dollars. The entire ceiling will be midnight blue. Drapes along the catwalk and sides will be midnight blue also. Bright red and lacy white will compliment the back ground in the traditional Valen-tine style. As the couples come in the door, they will notice the beautiful dec-orations around the entrance. They were created by Anna Zam-bounis and her committee. The music of the band will come from the far end of the armory opposite the entrance. Pat Filsinger is in charge of trimming the band-stand. Refreshments w ill be served from the right and left. Joyce Wright and her committee will provide the table decorations and the centerpieces. The decora-tions for the twenty columns are being taken care of by Shirley Hartwell. The traditional heart for the Sweetheart crowning cere-mony will be in the center of the dance floor. Sharon Imer's group will assemble and decorate the heart. The chairmen and members of the six committees have been working very hard to make the 1953 Sweetheart Dance the most beautiful dance Towson has ever seen. The Tower Light Staff would like to take this oppor-tunity to thank Don Keyser for the lovely illustrations that added so much to the Christ-mas issue. We regret the con-tribution was not acknowledged at the time, but may we say a belated ""thank you.""
