New Addition Variety Show To Library Sets Theme Subscriptions have been placed with the H. W. Wilson Company for two more indexing services. They are The Vertical File Service Cata-log and the International Index to Periodicals. The Vertical File Service Catalog is issued monthly, and is an anno-tated list of free and inexpensive pamphlets arranged alphabetically by subjects. The title, price, and ad-dress of the publisher are given for each listing. This service will be of great help in locating up-to-date material for term papers, reports, and units for teaching. The cata-dogs have been placed on a shelf under the Education Index. The International Index to Period-icals includes a number of our magazines that are not listed in either the Reader's Guide or the Educational Index, and so makes their use much greater. It should be noted that through the years the titles indexed have not remained ex-actly the same. Therefore, if a spe-cific periodical is wanted, the list in the front of the volume should be checked. For this library, the in-dexing service is especially helpful in the psychology and social science magazines. Students who have been using the 1932 edition of the Rand McNally Commercial Atlas will be interested in the 1949 edition which has just been received. This large atlas has excellent maps, and, in addition, a great amount of material which will be particularly helpful to the Eco-nomics and Sociology classes. Rehearsals for the third annual Variety Show to be given April 8th and 9th in the school auditorium are now underway. The title, ""Alma Mammy,"" was chosen to depict school life at STC.
