Doric Whitmore, Jerry Masemore Wanda McGee, Bob Auastasi College Week In Bermuda Is Offered Among the student tours of which Campus Travel Director Joyce Dorshaw has been notified is a College Week in Bermuda. This is spent during the spring vacation and there are three weeks from which to choose. Open strictly for college students, a full week is planned to interest students on that level. Included in the program of activities are beach parties and other types of entertainment. A fee of around one hundred dollars is charged. This includes airplane tickets, hotel room and other fees incurred at the hotel, in-cluding meals. All arrangements are made for reservations. Students interested in a College Week should contact Joyce Dor-shaw, Box 155. J. S.A. Offers Hebrew Course The Jewish Student's Association has announced a course in Elemen-tary Hebrew to be offered second semester, according to Dr. Arnold Blumberg, advisor. Emphasis will be placed on flu-ency in reading and writing the language. As this non-credit course will be open to the general student body, enrollment will be limited to a group of fifteen. Students who expect to be free at ten o'clock on Friday mornings, beginning with February 12, are invited to apply for admission to this class. For details, names should be submitted to Joan Pa Ili an , J .S.A president, Box 223. Carolyn Lyle, Dick Evans Carolyn Lyle is a senior and she is from Prince Georges County. When she graduates Carolyn plans to teach junior high core. Carolyn is a member of the Freshman Ad-visory Council, Student Govern-ment Association representative for Alpha Psi Omega, President of the Glen Players and a member of the Social Committee of the Women's Residence Council. Richard Evans is a junior from Montgomery County. He plans to teach junior high school and eventually college. Richard is Social Chairman of the IMen's Residence Council, S.G.A. Representative of the Men's Chorus, Parliamentarian of the Junior Class and Student Resident Assistant. He is also a member of Gamma Theta Upsilon and the Attendance Com-mittee and he does publicity for the Social Events Committee. Senior Done Whitmore lives in Baltimore County and she plans on teaching the first grade in one of the small county schools. She has participated in class activities and is presently Social Chairman of her class. Dorie also worked with the Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship, the Hostess Club and Social Com-mittees of Newell-Richmond Resi-dence Halls. She also participates in Women's Athletic Assiociation activities. Jerry Masemore resides in Baltimore County. A member of the Senior Class, he plans to teach seventh or eighth grade math and science when he graduates. Jerry participates in athletics and he is on the varsity basketball team and he has also been on the Varsity Track Team. Jerry is S.G.A. repre-sentative for the Men's Athletic Association and he participates in class activities. Jerry is also in the F.A.C. and M.R.C. Jane Chiles is a Baltimore County resident and she plans to teach seventh or eighth grade Core or English. A member of the Junior Class, Jane takes part in class activi-ties and is Corresponding Secretary. Jane is also a member of the F.A.C. Milt Saulsbury is from Talbot County. He plans to teach ninth grade. Milt is Junior Class Presi-dent and he is also a member of Gamma Theta Upsilon, the Student- Faculty Committee, the F.A.C. and the All-Oallege Council. Milt also participates in track. Sophomore Wanda McGee lives in Anne Arundel County and she plans to teach fifth or sixth grade. Jane Chiles, Milt Sanlsbury Jim Macdonald, Sheila Engle class, S. G.A. representative for the W.R.C. and a member of the Sopho-more Executive Council. She was on the 1959 Homecoming Court, is in the Glee Club, and participates in class activities. Robert Anastasi S a member of the Junior Class. He is from Montgomery County and he plans to teach fifth or sixth grade. Robert is Assistant Treasurer of the S.G.A. and Treasurer of the Men's Chorus. He was Co-chairman of the 1959 Spook Activities. Robert also participates in class activities and athletics, especially lacrosse and basketball. Towson's 1960 Sweetheart Couple will be chosen Saturday night from five couples: Carolyn Lyle and Richard Evans, Doris Whitmore and Jerry Masemore, Jane Chiles and Milt Saulsbury, Wanda McGee and Robert Anastasi, and Sheila Engel and Jim Macdonald. A group of faculty and adminis-trators will choose the couple. In-cluded in this group are Captain and Mrs. Sargent, Dr. and Mrs. Volpel, Dr. and Mrs. Browne, and Barbara Strong and Ed Schumacher, last year's Sweetheart Couple. Larry Elgart and his orchestra will play for the dance. It will be at the Fifth Regiment Armory in Baltimore City from 9:30 to 1:00. Tickets for outsiders are $2.50 and they may be purchased at the door. Towson students are admitted free when they show their activity card. ""Valentine's Day"" is the decora-tion theme. Red and white, with touches of the school colors. cold and white will comprise the main color combination. Students are leaving from Newell Foyer at 7:00 ; on Tuesday to decorate. Anyone 1 who wishes to go should be in the lfoyer at this time. Transportation will be provided. Freshman Sheila Engel is from Baltimore City and she plans to teach fifth grade. Among the ac-tivities in which she participates are Glen Players, Freshman Executive Council. Student Center Directory and the Freshman Class Assembly. James MacDonald is a member of the Freshman Class. He lives in Anne Arundel County and plans to teach either elementary or high school. James is a member of the Canterbury Club, Glen Players, Tower Light and Tower Echoes. He is publicity Chairman for his class, an Interfaith Council representative and a member of both the Fresh-man Executive Council and the Freshman Executive Board. Frosh Assembly February 27 On February 26, 1960, the fresh- , man class will present their class assembly, a comedy based upon army life and written by freshman, Sandie Wiener. Rehearsals began Tuesday. Co-directors are Donna Walker ' and Paul Swank. Sue Berman is in charge of costumes; scenery, Rus-sell Gwyn.ne; programs, Alice Phillips; and music, Darla Heckner.
