Mr. Murna said that conflict arises within a person when he tries to use science to justify reli-gion because this is not possible. Instead religion should be accepted on faith. That science does present evidence for the existance of a Supreme Be-ing was put forth by Dr. Hathaway. Dr. Pelham added that although this is true; science does not prove the existence of a Supreme Being. Scientific evidences advanced and discussed were the question of what causes things to happen and the orderliness of the universe. When questioned as to if the state-ment ""All scientists are assumed to be athiests"" was in anyway true, the panel disagreed in their re-actions. Dr. Odell explained that her religious beliefs hold God to be a constructive motivating force in the universe. She feels that she is just a small part of the world. She accepts God""s existence as a ma-thematician accepts a postulate (without need for proof). One of the things which the panel seemed to be in agreement upon is that sicence and religion are to be kept separate and should not be used to prove or disprove each other.
