Coming Assembly Plans Announced Dr. Brewington, chairman of the Assemblies committee, announced that the assembly April 10 will be a -Student Government Association Assembly. The following week, April 17, Dr. Earl T. Hawkins, President of Tow-son State Teachers College will en-tertain with a piano musical pro-gram of ""new songs for old."" The Glee Club, under the direction of Miss Weyforth, will also take part. The popular lecurer and reviewer, Mrs. Rudkin, will return to Towson April 24 with a timely talk on ""Re-cent Books."" Mary's Hosts Local Convention Improving Junior College Educa-tion in Maryland will be the theme of the Maryland Association of Jun-ior Colleges tomorrow. St. Mary's Seminary Junior College will play host to the 4th Annual Convention of the M.A.J.C. Presenting the theme of the Con-ference will be Dean Francis Horn of McCoy College. Dr. Earle T. Hawkins is chairman for the dis-cussion of Teacher .Preparation, while assisting the discussion of Student Personnel will be Dr. Re-becca Tansil. All students, whether Teachers or Junior College, are cordially invited to attend the conference. There will be $1.00 charge for the luncheon. Shaeffer King Neptune To Reign over Sophomore Dance Tomorrow Tomorrow night the steps from the entrance into the gym will lead the students of State Teachers College and their guests down, down, down to the bottom of the sea. King Neptune will greet and reign over them for three hours. Presented by the Sophomores, Neptunes Frolic will include all the mythical folk of the under-sea world�sea horses chasing each oth-er hither and yon, divers searching the watery depths for treasures and mermaids complete to the last fin on their tails. The only thing missing will be the sea-weed, so that the dancers can dance undisturbed to the music of Carl Hamilton and his orchastra. Under the supervision of Jane Kovalcik, the decoration committee has prepared the gym to take on the appearance of Davey Jonses' locker. Working on the committee are Audna Thompson, Julia Owens, Melanie Wagner, Joan Hattersley, 'Lady in Dark' Nears Production Date Lady in the Dark, the Glen Play-ers third production of the season, is moving into its last two weeks of rehearsals. The production staff is busily at work, and many changes and revisions have been made. Among the changes in the cast are the choosing of Hallie Odgers for the part of Miss Bowers, Bob Colburn for the part of Randy Curtis, and Pete Stuart as Ben. Ellis Wyman is Business Manager of the Glen Players. Laura Witlam, as Assistant Business Manager, is in charge of publicity with Pat Rosendale, Ralph Rigger, and Joan Hattersley helping her. Anna Eisenberger, Assistant to the assistant Business manageritis chairman of the Programs. Paul Arend and Ann Hawley are handling costumes, Cora Clark, props, and Jack Twist is Stage Manager. Von Schwertner, Ed Goedak, and Jack Leizman. Informality Prevails For Literary Club WI th :twenty ,interested people present, the first meeting of the Literary Club was held Wednesday, March 28. The group discussed methods of organization for the club and decided on a strictly informal formwithou t committees and headed only by a chairman, Marvin Wild-stein. Meetings of the club will be held every Wednesday in the Green Room, and the group will remain independent of the S.G.A. After the brief organizational dis-cussion, the groups was presented several readings of poetry by Paul Arend and John Zvonar. A lengthy discussion on poetry in general fol-lowed. A passage from Shake-speare was read by Marvin Wild-stein. Future plans include the inviting of local speakers to the meetings to give readings and to discuss cul-tural topics with the group. New members are still being accepted an dthose interested are urged to attend the next meeting April 4. Dr. Fisher is serving as advisor of the group. Members of the refreshment com-mittee will be present all evening to serve cookies and punch. Mary Gallaher is chairman of this com-mittee and her committee includes Pat Hopkins, Jerri Jarell, and Anne Eisenberger. Students will be admitted by their activity cards, and tickets for out-siders are $1.00. Tickets have been sold all week by Pat Hoglund, Joan Migliarini, Jackie Hickman, Eleanor Marx, Jane Wunder, Jane Shapiro, Gerrie Cosgrove, Ann Heise, Kitty Chell, Maryann Bowen, Scotty Max-well, Sylvia Gorsey, Marion Griffith, and Lois Schweikert. Jackit Wagner is chairman of the ticket committee. On Sunday when the dance will be just a memory to most, the clean-up committee will come back and transform the gym to normal. Jim Peeling and Pat Cochran, as the sophomore day and dorm social chairman, have served as general chairmen of the dance. Staff To Tour Sun Building A tour of the Sun Building is being\ planned by the Tower Light staff for Thursday, April 12. The group will leave the College at 1 p.m. and will spend the afternoon making a complete tour of the offices and plant of the Sun papers. They will observe how the paper is published from the time news is gathered up tio the time it arrives in the public's hands. At this time, the staff will have the opportunity to ask any questions they may have concerning the publshing of a large newspaper. "
