Hoddinott's margin is so slim as to be indecisive. Of the 109 candidates running for office on all tickets, 12 were elected to office by their pluralities in the primary. Wallace, with 371 votes, will become the new social chairman. The office of secretary in the Student Government will be further contested in the final election next Thursday by Beatrice Hannan and Vivian Paugh, polling 167 and 154 votes re-spectively. Prior to the primaries, the cam-paigns, already much stimulated by the speechmaking in assembly, be-came the more heated with the use of posters and handbills by the candidates. With the returns from the primaries showing but a slim margin between the two leading Student Government Association presidential candidates, it is ex-pected that the campaigning will gather added momentum during the next six days. The candidates, unaware of the election results until publication of the Tower Light today, spent a restless night last night. The re-turns from the primaries were kept in the strictest secrecy by the Election Committee, which report-ed the totals to the pres at approx-imately 7:00 P. M. last night. BULLETIN The final election will take place next Thursday, from 9 A. M. to 3 P. M., in Room 17 in the Administration building."
