""Because of the popularity of the 'Rock and Roll' band at the Fresh-man Dance, we decided to pro-vide another band which we knew most of the school would enjoy,"" explained the Senior class Social Chairman. This choice was further based on a survey of the music played on the juke box in the Student Center dur-ing one entire week. Welk Also For the few students who don't like Bill Haley's type of music, the committee also contracted Lawrence Welk. Thus, Towsonites will again I have a night of continuous music of two veins. ""Because of the enormous crowd expected to come to this dance, we felt the Blue Crest-North would be too small,"" stated the Social Chair-man. ""A last-minute rescheduling of ballrooms has been made. Since It was sa late we were only able to get the Coliseum."". Dance tickets will go on sale April 31 in Room 109, Stephens Hall. WRC Approves 2 A.M. Leaves Women residence students will now have 2:00 A.M. leaves each night, according to recently re-vised residence regulations. ""We feel that college students should be mature enough to budget their time, and by keeping regula-tions so strict the girls have no chance to develop a sense of re-sponsibility,"" explained a W.R.C. member. A heated debate developed as factions in opposition to the re-gulation pointed to the fact that many immature students would use the leaves unwisely. However, it was also pointed out that men students had no regulated curfews and, are they more mature than the women? It was further added that im-mature students are not ready for college and this system could be used to as a weeding-out process."" MMC Meets Tuesday, 7:30 Topic: ""Experiences Made Meaningful"" Routine Civil Defense Drill Ends In Chaos And Confusion Efforts to rescue the 450 Towson students trapped in the tunnel entered their twentieth hour as Tower Light ?,vent to press at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday. Tuesday night Towson's civil defense team had a routine drill to see how quickly and efficiently they could get into the tunnel. This tunnel runs under part of the campus and was originally built to house the plumbing, heating and electrical systems. During this drill, four hundred dent which would happen only a-dormitory students also participated bout once in a thousand times, oc-to help the committees gain prac- curred. A student accidently dropped her notebook in the waste paper basket and in the process of retrieving it, came across a bundle of applica-tions for admission to Towson. Further investigation showed that each of these applications had been filed by a male. Upon questioning the secretary who receives all correspondence for the Admissions Office, it was dis-covered that she destroyed four out of every five applications from males. ""I just don't know why I do this,"" she said, ""I really don't hate men."" Towson's Psychology Department took on as a special project, the job of finding out why this secretary behaves as she did. After extensive sessions of psy-choanalysis, followed by a few ses-sions of group psychotherapy, at which time the entire Psychology Department participated, her prob-lem was traced back to a traumatic experience in her childhood. This secretary had four brothers. She and her four brothers were very close, always playing together and going places in a group. All five of the siblings were very active in their county's branch of the 4-H Club. However, when the family moved caused part of the tunnel to cave in. As a reuslt af this cave-in, the entrances to the tunnel are sealed and the students are trapped until resuce workers can reach them. A spokesman for the group trap-ped in the tunnel said that there WUS no immediate danger. It was disclos-ed that they had enought food and water to last for three weks. Also the problems of sanitation are pro-vided for. Sleep will be fairly com-fortable as each fourth student re-membered to take his mattress with him and the girls have their cosme-tics so that they can look attractive at all times. Rescue workers from Baltimore City and Baltimore County have ben working continuously since be-ing alerted. Classes have been cancelled be-cause of the number of concerned Towson students standing outside of the entrance watching the pro-gress of the rescue squads. ""The tunnel will be completely safe,"" explained a spokesman for the civil defense unit, ""after a few repairs are made."" ica replaced the 4-H Club for her brothers. This secretary also ap-plied for membership in the Boy Scouts; but was refused. It is the unanimous decision of the Psychology Department that this traumatic experience has be-come deeply ingrained in the secre-tary's subconscious. Having reached this conclusion, it was recommended that she be re-tained; but in a different capacity. Thus, beginning with the class entering in September, students can expect to see more males on to the city the Boy Scouts of Amer-1 campus. "
