JOHN DENVER Helen Reddy by Ward Smith Helen Reddy, an Australian, has recently released her first album, ""I Don't Know How to Love him"", on Capitol records, and with this behind her she will enter her concert here October 17 at 2 p.m. in Burdick Hall. Her most recent recor-ding, ""Crazy Love"" is fast climbing the charts. Helen Reddy was born in Australia into a third generation show-business family, and even hosted her own show on Australian television. Recently, she has made several appearances on American television with the likes of David Frost, Mery Griffin, With a goal, she teres ted and ca HELEN REDDY Johnny Carson. reer in music as her is also deeply in-in Women's Liberation and para-psychology which is the study of telepathy, clairvoyance, ESP, and other areas of unknown psychology. When Helen is finished with music she hopes to go into research in this field. Helen was born with and went through school with very rigid Catholic training, which has lead her to her interest and deep conviction to religion. She attended 'a very strict English boarding school where she was not allowed to go swimming because the headmistress felt that it was unmaidenly to appear in a bathing costume. Having grown up in a free and easy show business at-mosphere she found this hard to take. It is felt that this schooling experience had much to do with her approach to Women's Liberation. One of her songs on the new album is called ""I am Woman"", and is one of her original tunes. It is ""Strong, challenging, defiant, direct and triumphant."" Helen's ultimate goal,in life would be combining religion and mysticism, or in some way prove the truth of mysticism, in the _laboratory. In an at-tempt to reach this goal, she is studying for a degree in Parapsychology at the University of California. "
