""We're going to Fell's Point,"" said sophomore speech pathology and deaf studies major Erin Hafer, who plans to dress as a ladybug. ""That's where everyone is going."" Hafer's roommate, sophomore exercise science and biology major Kelsie Schmidt, described Fell's Point as ""the party scene"" for Halloween night. ""All our friends are going,"" said Schmidt, who will be costumed as a fairy, complete with wings and glass shoes. Many of this weekend's Halloween celebrations, both on and off-cam-pus, feature similar themes, specifi-cally costumes and contests. Friday night, the Fell's Point club Bohagers will award $2,000 in prizes to those wearing the scariest, sexiest, funniest and most original costumes. The standard $15 cover charge will be reduced to $10 until 9 p.m. Danielle Babcock, marketing and promotions director for Power Plant Live, expects large crowds at the downtown destination both Thursday and Friday nights. ""We wanted to expand it and organize two nights of Halloween parties,"" she said. On Thursday, Power Plant Live's third annual ""Creepy Crawl"" will open four bars to partiers. The doors to Tiki Bob's, McFadden's, Have a Nice Day Cafe and BAR Baltimore will open at 8 p.m. The cover charge is $12 for people ages 18 to 20 and $10 for ages 21 and up. Local band Mr. Greengenes will be on hand to perform. Costume contest winners will receive $500 cash and other prizes. Babcock encourages people to dress to impress.
