Smith Oct. 18 regarding the quality of their education. The letter, which emphasized student concern for two particu-lar education teachers, stated the ""first two semesters of the [student's] professional track have so far been failures,"" and they are not ""learning all the necessary facts and material needed to teach science and math."" Senior Ilene Chupnick, spokesperson for the Section Three Level II students, said Towson is not properly prepar-ing or educating students to become knowledgeable and experienced teachers. ""We came to Towson know-ing it was one of the best schools in the nation, and no matter what we say, nothing is getting done,"" Chupnick said. ""These people are suppose to be here to help us, but I feel like no one cares, that no one is listen-ing."" Chupnick said the students contacted the professors and asked for assistance when prob-lems occurred with the class and the curriculum before turn-ing to the president of the University. If this is a description of what you have seen, then you have been a victim of Mojo Filter, a sketch comedy troupe aired by Towson University's. WMJF-TV Channel 61. The cast of Mojo Filter are all students of Towson, and ""are looking for friends ... you can find us at Newell really late at night,"" said writer/actor Greg Baradziej. The other companionseeking cast members are Keith Richter, Nick Chester, Sean Krus, Matt McDermott, Evan Samuels, Jen Tisdale and Natalie Urra. Mojo Filter is a result of a sketch comedy show with McDermott in the Fall of 1998 gone hideously awry. ""Matt had a show called 'Breaking the Seal.' It had a con-stantly changing cast, and really unfunny material,"" Baradziej said. ""Keith, Nick and I had been friends for a while and decided to try it. Everything took off from there."" ""A love for annoying people brought us to Evan [Samuels] in the Spring of 1999,"" added Richter, who out of dedication for Mojo Filter gave up a poten- See MOJO, page 11 'Mojo' members Ban Samuels (right) and Greg Baradziej Today High 47 Low 38 Tuesday High 43 Low 28 Wednesday High 46 Low 24 Thursday High 53 Low 27 "
