De La Soul's performance capped off an eventful day that had non-stop music on two stages and activities ranging from the moon bounce to riding mechanical bull. ""There is a lot more things to do compared to last year,"" soph-omore D.J. Strader said. ""It looks like a lot more people came this year too."" Toby the Tiger received the most attention during the early afternoon. The three-month-old Siberian tiger was the subject of many photos and was far from bashful in front of the cameras, as he affectionately rolled around on the ground enticing onlookers to pet his stomach. Meanwhile, at the jousting station, friends were beating out their frustrations on each other with an ""American Gladiators""- style jousting contest. Rusty McKinney, who was in charge of the jousting center said he enjoyed watching the students battle each other with the joust. ""The best part is watching girls beating up their men,"" McKinney said. The events started at 1 p.m. and two stations appeared to be an instant success. The first was a wax hands display, provided by Fantasy World entertain-ment, which allowed students to form a cast of their hand made out of wax and color it however they wanted. In the mTv2 and Interscope Records tent, over one hundred Tigers win America East Championship Saul Stoogankerhe Tomnirlight Towson came back to defeat Hofstra 13-11 in Saturday's America East Championship game. Music seemed to be a com-mon theme throughout the day, drawing many students like freshman Amy Pypiak, who said the highlight to this year's TigerFest was the headlining band, De La Soul. ""I'm enjoying myself,"" Pypiak said. ""[TigerFest) maybe needs some more school spirit, but still, I'm having a good time."" The music was an important focal point at Saturday's TigerFest with an extensive line-up that featured, along with head liners De La Soul, Zebrahead and Jah Works, five student bands, including Gerrit Heinrich, Drone, Releese, Woodswork and 9 Deuce.
