Some students were pulled aside and arranged at one end of the classroom, while the remaining 14 dodged camera equipment and lighting tiers to find seats on the opposite side of the room. A film crew held microphones overhead, adjusting lighting and seating, moving kids around, collecting their video release forms, and prep- ping them for the shoot. In the middle of this chaos was First Lady Kendall Ehrlich, wife of Maryland Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich. She was there to talk about sex, drugs and alcohol. And put it all on tape. """"I just want to get the information out there to parents and kids, whoever will take it in,"""" she said """"As a parent, I'm scared. That's why I want to talk about it; every parent is fearful. We don't want to see our kids halt their lives."""" Kendall Ehrlich first lady later. Ehrlich is working with Comcast to film a television segment about drug and alcohol abuse, focusing on commentary from youth. Ehrlich confronted these issues with students in a question and answer session Tuesday for the video that will be finalized in May or June, she said. """"So, drinking on campus?"""" she said to the 11 students in the shoot. The students fell silent. """"I am much more comfortable with cameras, being first lady, but I have to realize that other people aren't,"""" Ehrlich said later, adding, """"I hope the topic is poignant enough to make people open up and forget about the cameras."""" To break the silence, Ehrlich reported facts. """"One in nine people in Baltimore are addicted...65 percent of drugs and alcohol are presented by friends and family,"""" she said. Tigers hope to reverse fortune against Terrapins Luke Brietzke The Towerlight Maryland v. Towson isn't much of a rivalry in many sports. In fact, many sports fans at Towson consid er themselves Terrapins supporters. Saturday's men's lacrosse game against No. 5 Maryland, as Towson Head Coach Tony Seaman described it as a barometer for how good the Tigers really are. He is also excited File Photo Towson will take on Maryland this Saturday at 1 p.m. in Unitas Stadium. about a possible large home crowd. """"It's a product right now that's undefeated and ranked ninth in the country,"""" Seaman said. """"So it's certainly worth coming out, giving it a try and seeing how good the product really is. We would love to get the majority of the students behind us. That would be huge."""" Even the Student Government Association has gotten involved, organizing Tiger Spirit Day, which includes """"Tigers for Terps,"""" a marketing ploy to get Maryland supporters to trade in Terps apparel for Tigers' T-shirts. Students can exchange gear Thursday under the Lecture Hall. While this is one of the biggest games on Towson's calendar, Seaman believes Maryland looks at the Tigers' program as more of a lit tle brother. The Terps have won 10 of the last 11 games in this series. For the Tigers to have a chance in this game, they will have to get off to a better start than they did last year - which Seaman described as horrendous through three quarters. """"I think the biggest thing is going to be the way we start,"""" Towson Offensive Coordinator and ex-Maryland attackman Andrew Combs said. """"I think offensively last year we did not start very well. I think we've done a better job this year of coming out and putting the ball on goal, and we've been consistent throughout the game, which we haven't been in the past."""" Seaman said another key will be Casey Cittadino's ability to contain All-America candidate Joe Walters, who has four goals in two games.
