The restrictions affect mostly upperclassmen and transfer stu-dents, pushing them into the apart-ment- search process sooner than expected. The new policy implemented on a per credit basis. Students with 90 credits or more are required to move off campus, while those with 60 to 89 credits are being entered into a housing lottery for available space. HRL has adopted two initiatives to help students wade through the apartment search process. One service, called the Off Campus Housing Locator, is a data-base that serves as a meeting place for both people seeking housing and people with available proper-ties to lease. The site, http://www.towson. edu/housing/offcampus/, allows users to submit housing queries, which are then screened for con-tent by HRL and, if approved, are posted online in a PDF document. The forms are color-coded, yellow for those looking to fill vacancies and orange for students looking for a place to live. There are currently 52 entries listed across both databases. Incoming entries have been pretty stable, but the market will pick up in the next month as apart-ment complexes begin re-leasing Sharon Leff Associate News Editor Students huddled beneath blankets, inside tents and under Towson sweatshirts to stay warm as they camped outside the University Village office Sunday night, hoping to secure a place to live next year.
