AS MONTHLY 8-PAGE MAGAZINE
Publication of tho TOMER LIGHT, regular STC naan-
zinc for the winter session, will be r-sunod this
September with a now editor, a freshly-organizod cut-
fit and a difference in sizo. This decision was
reached by a majority vote at a 2-hour meeting of iho
staff last Friday, when it was also decided to dis¬
continue the TOMER LIGHT HEM'S.
Mbndlor Chief
V'ith Norma Kirckhoff going student teaching in
September, "warren 7,‘cndlcr is left at tho editor's
desk to got the first issuos of tho TL U'ndor way. Mr.
Mcndlcr 'has served his tino on hothetho TL and tho
TL NSM'S. Students will remember his short story"Thc
Great One Ovor tho Dark" as a TL highlight in 1941 5
his Revues column in tho TL NEV.’S has becono ono of
its most popular features.
Mr. M'cndlcr, now at the job of editor, is undis¬
mayed. Aside from being able to write, he has ener¬
gy, ideas, and an appetite for action that promises
well for tho TL. His plans aro to include as many
cartoons and photographs as possiblo in the new, 8-
page version of the magazine, building on tho makeup
and contont aims of last year's publication.
Fresh Personnel
Deep in the job of organizing his staff, Mr. Tfond-
lcr announced that several key members havo been
chosen— John McCauley, Virginia Blechcr, Norma Bret-
all, Muriol Frames, and Paul Harris— although this
staff is as yot incomplete. Most of these students
like Hr. Mcndlcr have workod on STC publications.
Hiss Kirckhoff, in discussing tho now staff, sta¬
ted that they’ seem to her capable of turning out a
fino magazine* Hr. Mcndlcr could not bo reached for
