SGA Senate Resolution, October 14, 1969

SPONSORS: Clint Brown Michael Corkran James Johnston DATE: 10/14/69 CHAPEL RESOLUTION #2 WHEREAS, the SGA Senate by a unanimous vote directed the SGA and the CUB to "help restore the proper religious atmosphere to the Chapel by getting it cleaned and keeping it cleaned, and by removing all of the materials that are being stored in the Chapel" and; WHEREAS, such action did not take place by the deadline of this past Sunday set in the resolution; BE IT RESOLVED that the SGA Senate censures the SGA Executive Cabinet and the CUB Policy Committee who are responsible for the administration of the SGA and the CUB respectively and who are both subject to the regulation of Senate and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that if the Chapel is not cleared of the materials being stored in it and not cleaned by Sunday October 19, 1969, this Senate shall consider more drastic measures such as the temporary suspension of the Scholarship Aids to the SGA Execs and the CUB President. This Senate will not tolerate defiance by the SGA Executive Cabinet or the CUB.
