Towson State University MEDIA RELEASE University Relations/ Towson State University Towson, Maryland 21204/Phone (301) 321-2230 September 25~ 1985 UNIVERSITY PROMOTES RESPONSIBLE DRINKING "Raise Your Spirits," a day of events sponsored by Towson State University to promote the responsible use of alcohol, will be held Wednesday, October 9 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. in the University Union Potomac Lounge. Highlights of the day include a talk, "Wine is the Drink of Moderation," by Rob DeFord of Boordy Vineyards, demonstrations of mixology by a member of the Bartenders, Hotel, Restaurant and Cafeteria Employees Union (Local 7), free "mocktails," demonstrations of cooking with wine by Baltimore gourmet caterer Amy Elias, exhibits, information booths and breathalizer demonstrations. A Cocktail Bowl game show in which students compete for prizes by correctly answering questions about alcohol use is also scheduled. The event is free and open to the public.
