September 21, 1965 Executive Committee meeting minutes

S.G.A. Executive Committee Minutes September 21, 1965 The meeting was called to order by President Neal Brooks at 4:10 P.M. in the S.G.A. Office. Announcements 1. Mr. Brooks introduced the new Recording Secretary, Deborah Kraus, to the members of the Executive Committee. 2. Mr. Brooks reminded the Executive Committee of the importance of continuing our efforts in making the Freshmen welcome to the campus, and a part of it's activities. He stressed the importance of visiting as many Orientation sections as possible in the next few days. Old Business 1. Activity Cards: Mr. Peloquin presented a reort on the distribution of Activity Cards. All transfer students should have received their cards by Tues., Sept. 21. The Freshmen cards that did not turn out, will be redone. A schedule has been posted when Upperclassmen may have their pictures retaken-Thurs., Sept. 23, Fri., Sept. 24, Mon., Sept. 27, and Tues., Sept. 28, from 8-11 and 3-6. There will be no pictures taken after those dates. Mr. Peloquin made a request that the members of the Executive COmmittee help him in getting the remaining cards finished. 2. Gold & White: Mr. Brooks sugested that the Gold & Whites be placed in the North Alcove of Stephens Hall for distribution to alleviate some of the confusion in the S.G.A. Office. Only the Upperclassmen are to receive the Gold & White as the Freshmen were sent theirs during the summer. 3. Office Procedure: Mr. Brooks impresses upon the Committe the importance of keeping the office for business matters only. The previous noise has made our work practically impossible. 4. Communications: Mr. Brooks stresses the importance of being informed about other Students Government Associations as well as all current affairs of our own campus. 5. Tower Light: Mr. Brooks informed teh Executive Committee that Tower Light would like an open letter from the S.G.A. President for every issue, for the student body. The letter would be due the Friday before the issue in which it would appear comes out. Mr. Brooks complimented Miss Austin for her article in the Freshmen issue of Tower Light. New Business 1. Mr. Brooks re-emphasized the importance of visiting as many Orientation Sections as possible.
