School calendar note

SCHOOL CALENDAR During the second semester of the school year, the Social Chairman must meet with Dean Murphy to plan the school calendar for teh coming year. Attached is a form which is sent to all organizations on campus upon which they request calendar space. The organizations should be allowed at least three weeks to return the form. Then the Social Chairman must take up individual conflicts with the parties involved. [stricken out: This year Dean Murphy met with the class presidents to set up their assemblies and dances.] When all the requests have been turned in, the chairman can begin to put them on the calendar. [stricken out: This year I met with the religious organizations and Dean Murphy to try to set up meeting times with them. As Many groups as possible are meeting on the same night to leave space for other groups and any special events on campus.] The best policy for attacking the calendar is to discuss any policies and procedures thoroughly with Dean Murphy. She will assist you with th details. The main thing is to contact the organizations soon after the Sweetheart Dance, so that you will have ample time in April and May to devote to the calendar. It is a big job and takes a good bit of time and even more patience.
