I will keep them, the hospitalized workers, and the Brentwood staff in my thoughts during these difficult times. "This tragic loss of life should underscore for Postmaster General John Potter the critical importance of protecting the health and safety of our invaluable postal workforce. I am confident that he and Homeland Security Director Tom Ridge will provide the nation's postal workers with immediate, thorough, and quality medical treatment and training in safety procedures. I strongly urge Dr. Jeffrey Koplan and the Centers for Disease Control to work with these leaders to safeguard all postal employees.
