Ehrlich, Jr. (R-2nd., MD) will answer questions from high school students seeking to find their own creative solutions to welfare reform and other budgetary issues pending before Congress. The Congressman’s visit will take place on Wednesday, February 14 at 8:30 AM at the Dulaney High School auditorium, located at 255 Padonia Road in Cockeysville. Approximately 125 students are expected to participate. Congressman Ehrlich will make a few remarks and take students’ questions. The Congressman’s appearance is in response to an invitation extended by Dulaney High School teachers whose students are performing a classwide research project. As part of the project, students are assigned various federal programs and asked to design reforms which will allow them to meet strict budgetary guidelines. They requested that Ehrlich update students personally on the status of similar proposals in Congress. The Congressman noted that his visit could not be more timely. “Just last week the nation’s governors agreed to a bipartisan Medicaid and welfare reform plan which adopted many of the reforms outlined in legislation passed by Congress and vetoed by President Clinton,”
