Ehrlich, Jr. (R-2nd., MD) is accepting applications from students seeking nominations to the United States Naval Academy; the United States Military Academy; the United States Air Force Academy; or the United States Merchant Marine Academy. Applications for nominations to the academy classes entering in July, 1996 will be accepted from. April 15 to November 1, 1995. Interested students must reside within the Second Congressional District and should meet the following criteria: - Be in the top 25 percent of his or her class; - Have a grade point average at or above 3.0, and SAT scores at or above 500 Verbal and 550 Math; - Have a strong desire for a military career; - Have a desire for leadership. This can be demonstrated by having served as a class or club officer, team captain, or in other school leadership positions; - Be in good physical condition; and - Be at least 17 years old but under 22 years of age as of July 1 , 1996 and have no children or other dependents.
