Proposal Title: Proposal to Integrate the Scholarship on Women into the Currciulum of Selected _ _ Community Colleges in the Baltimore-Washington Area _ 10. Brief Abstract of Proposal: (Do not leave this blank) This is a two year project to integrate the scholar¬ ship on women into selected courses in eight community colleges in the Baltimore-Washington area, using the resources develdped in the Towson State University FIPSE integration project. Workshops of six to twelve faculty on each campus will meet for three semesters to read and analyze the scholarship on women including minority women, revise courses, and test and evalu¬ ate the new courses in the classroom. A Summer Institute and final presentation at a state¬ wide meeting of community college faculty will supplement the workshops. The project will provide a national model for integration work in community colleges, be an example of effective cooperation between two and four-year institutions, and demonstrate how to utilize regional resources to fulfill needs and achieve change. The total cost sharing between the university and the community colleges is over $400,000. 11.
