November 7, 1967 SGA Senate meeting minutes

TOWSON STATE COLLEGE STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION SENATE MINUTES NOVEMBER 7, 1967 The meeting was called to order by acting Chairman, Mr. Barkley at 3:30 p.m. in Smith Lecture Hall. The reading of the minutes was dispensed with. ANNOUNCEMENTS: 1. Miss Mattingly announced that there will be a meeting of the Course Evaluation Committee on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the SGA office. 2. Mr. Herbert announced that he had met with some of the administration, some of th Board of Trustees and several consultants to discuss the new college center. Mr. Herbert announced that teh building was scheduled to cost $30 per square foot whereas teh new library will cost only $17 per square foot. 3. Mr. Herbert announced that the core committee on residence had begun action. The committee has split into two groups which are meeting. 4. Mr. Hollywood announced that he will revise the Publicity Policy and would like ideas from the organizations on how to change it. Mr. Hollywood requested that any suggestions be dropped off in the SGA office. 5. Mr. Barkley announced that supposedly we will get approval on Friday from Dr. Hawkins for the 74-hour football game. The game will be held at Double Rock Park. Mr. Barkley, Mr. Brooks and Mr. Klausmeyer are heading the Publicity Committee and are trying to sell $10,000 worth of publicity. All publicity salesment will receive 10% commissions on their sales. Anyone interested in selling page ads or patron ads, please contact either of the three men on the committee. NEW BUSINESS: 1. Social Policy -- Mr. White moved that Senate amend the social policy to allow two jam sessions in one weekend. The motion was seconded. As the motion could not be further debated due to lack of 2/3 majority necessary to pass the motion, Miss gregory moved for adjournment. The motion was seconded and passed.
