November 23, 1965 SGA Senate meeting minutes

TOWSON STATE COLLEGE STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION SENATE NOVEMBER 23, 1965 The meeting was called to order by acting chairman Jack Wilson in Lecture Hall of the Science Building at 3:35. The Treasurer reported a balance of $70,282.72. ANNOUNCEMENTS: 1. Mr. Vanderbosch read the minutes of the Financial Committee Meeting. 2. Mr. Wilson announced that the tickets for the basketball game to be played at the Civic Center on December 16 will be distributed on December 9th, 10th, 13th, 14th, and 15th in Stephens Alcove. The game starts at 7:30 and features TSC vs. Western Maryland. OLD BUSINESS: 1. Miss Myers moved that the Senate allocate $28 to the W.R.C. for a movie to be shown on Feb. 5 to all students. It was seconded and passed. 2. Miss Austin moved to reconsider the M.I.A.A. request for $200. It was seconded and passed. The main motion was passed. NEW BUSINESS: 1. Miss Litowsky moved that the Senate allocate $30 to the J.S.A. for a Channukah Party for underpriviledged children. It was seconded and passed. 2. Miss Davis moved that the Senate approve the I.V.C.F. Constitution. It was seconded and passed. 3. Mr. Grosman moved that the Senate allocate $15.40 to the M.E.N.C. It was seconded and passed. 4. Mr. Vanderbosch moved that the Senate approve the Amendments to the Financial Policy. It was seconded and passed. 5. Mr. Vanderbosch moved that the Senate allocate $500 to the S.G.A. Executive Committee for office furniture. It was seconded and passed. 6. Miss Myers moved that the Senate allocate 20 reams of paper and 50 dittos to the W.R.C. It was ruled unnecessary as these supplies are granted by the Financial Committee. 7. Mr. Buck moved that the Senate reallocate $94.08 to the C.C.B. for a convention. It was seconded and passed.
