Hi July 19U7 mrORAKDU:^ TO all farbbk personnel This memorandum supersedes the memorandum of 2h June 19U7 in part, insofar as it eliminates reference to all material which has been secured, makes new assignments and suggests new avenues for the procurement of documents. I. General Material on Propaganda. This job consists ^of three parts : 1. .Contact with the State Department. Check on all files relating to the Auslands Organization and Ernst Wilhelm Bohle. As si gnment : CRAKE . 2. Contact Mr. Rogge#. Find out from him whether he has German newspaper reports, documents, etc., in¬ dicating the official German propaganda line which he wanted to use in the various treason trials. Ask him what part of Justice handles the Chandler case. Try to get copy of the record of the Chandler case and of the decision and try to get hold of all prop¬ aganda material which was not used in the case. Assignment: CR 3* Check on the microfilms in Major Seeley1 s document center for Foreign Office, AO, and Bohle and all .etter a. See pages 2 and 3 of memo dated 2h June. Assignment: Gerson.
