22 September 194& MEMORANDUM TO* Chief, Library Branch, Room 391 SUBJECT * Overdue Books 1. I received today a list charging the following books to me* 1) Kilgore Report, Ft. 5 (1) Ш1-Н-3. 2) State Department Bulletin, fol* HI Ho. 311* 3). Manual for Courts Martial, XII. 4) Buelow Document Book I. 2, Rone of these books is in my possession. I have told it repeatedly to the Library officials that nobody is authorised to take any books out in ray name unless he has a written authorisation emanat¬ ing from me. 3. Mr. Rollig has at no time been authorized to borrow any books in my name or has been authorized to transfer any books from him to me. 4« As far as one of these books is concerned, I remember that I borrowed the ?fenual for Courts Martial f>r one day and that it has been returned by mistake to Colonel Holsten. Receipt to this effect is in ray hands. I do not think there will be any difficulties about getting the Manuel for Courts Martial from Dr. Russell’s office. 5. T hereby give you notice once more that nobody is aphorized to take any books out in my name unless he can show you a written authorization. 6. uowever, if the welfare of the Library depends on it, I shell be delighted to get a Buelow Document Book for you and make it available. 7. please notify me that no books are charged to me.
