The budget issues are covered in the next io the last paragraph on page i. The 7% salary increase is not significant .for ·T.S.U. because Elaine and I are the primary personnel involved, and .our time is being replaced at a higher than minimum figure anyway, which they did not question. That is, we requested our released time replacement at a pro-rated $25,000 salary rather than contractual part time. To absorb 7% of the second year increase is probably equal to no additional expense. The 20% of sunnner salary will an1ount to $3,600 for the summer of '88, about the same for '89, and about .$1,800 for '90. Perhaps it would be appropriate for this money to be disbursed through faculty development since that is the kind of work we will be doing. Please let me know if you need further information or clarification. I will be ln California until May 25.
