June 13, 1986 Leah Schofield, Women's Center Annette Chappell, Dean, CLA Commencement Honors At the Commencement ceremony of each college, various honors are bestowed for academic achievement, and for service in such areas as editorships on the Journal of International Affairs. It seems to me that it would be appropriate for the Women's Center to have certificates of recognition for its graduating Board members, which could be presented at each Board member's college Commencement. I got the idea from Elizabeth McHale who, I know, was a dedicated Women's Center Board member. All it would take would be for you to notify the dean of each college of the names and the title of the award by March 1 each year, so that could be printed in the commencement program, and then get the certificates to the deans before Commencement.
