Though I have received nothing in writing, I understand that we should be going ahead with the proposal as quickly as possible, and that MHEC Is particularly concerned that we demonstrate societal need for the program (item I.B), having found the prospectus vague on that topic. In tackling that question, I suggest tying it to the general justification of the liberal arts (i.e., breadth of preparation, not training for specific jobs), and mentioning the variety of job opportunities in community service, teaching, etc.; any market survey results cited should be those for liberal arts in general, not WMST in particular. Many of the questions in the proposal can be answered from the prospectus. Whenever you have a draft ready, I'll be happy to go over it with you.
