TOWSON STATE COLLEGE DATE March 6, 1973 MEMORANDUM TO: Dr. Sara CauJ ter Dr. Alfred Wolkowitz, Dr. John Connolly, Dr. Robin Hatcher FROM: Minorities Committee, World Literature and Linguistics SUBJECT: Women's Studies In response to your visit during the last meeting of the World Literature and Linguistics section, and to Dr. Frijters' Memorandum of February 23, Dr. Hatcher, Dr. Connolly and I offer the following observations: Because of the involvement of both you and Dr. Hedges in Women's Studies at Towson, all of us in the English Department have become more aware of the question. Certainly the new courses that you and she have developed reflect the interest of the entire Department. That we have all been including women writers in our courses whenever it has been appropriate goes mthout saying. We, therefore, look forward to consulting with you should any questions arise; in the meantime we feel sure that you and Dr. Hedges will continue to represent the interest of the English Department as a whole in Women's Studies. cc: Dr. Ria Frijters
