STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION Towson State University Towson, Maryland 21204 (301) 321-2711 MINUTES STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION March 19, 1985 The Student Govermrent Association Senate meeting was called to order at 4:04. Senator Dinkin moved to excuse Senator Hyatt-seconded. He was excused. Senator Walsh moved to excuse Senator Goldsmith for being late-seconded. She was excused. Senator Heacock moved to excuse Senator Krivos for being late-seconded. He was excused. Senator Dinkin moved to ascept the minutes from the previous session-seconded. The minutes were accepted. Senator Oppenheimer moved to accept the minutes from the special meeting-seconded. The minutes were accepted. Communications Senate President Protempore Mister read President DiPaula's communications. The inauguration plans are going well. The University is supporting the "take a professor to lunch" program. The Ethics Forum is scheduled for March 26. The SGA manual changes must be passed by the Senate by next week. Assistant Director of Communications Stacy Gelfand-This week's movie is "Teachers." There will be a fashion show on March 22 from 12-1:30. If anyone is interested in helping with the fashion show, see Valerie. Students will get a 10% discount from the Clearlight Surf and Sport Shop if they make a purchase before spring break. The Buckley/McGovern advertising has been completed. Senate President Protempore Mister-A student from a TV production class wants to interview a senator after the Senate meeting. Dean Michael Kelly, from the Law school of Maryland, will be helping with the Ethics Forum. Usher are needed for the BUckley/McGovern debate. Constitution Introduced: Kappa Delta Pi. There were no Senate Bills introduced. Committee Reports Appropriations-no business. Government Operations Senator Oppenheimer moved to accept the favorable recommendation from the committee on the Student Athletic Trainers' Association's constitution with amendments-seconded.
