March 19, 1968 SGA Executive Committee meeting minutes

TOWSON STATE COLLEGE STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MINUTES - MARCH 19, 1968 The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by President Cullison. Mr. Cullison asked Mr. Barkley's opinion concerning a letter from Glen Miller about Phi Mu Alpha Sifonis. Mr. Barkley explained that an organization can have outside treasuries, but outside treasuries must be listed under the SGA in the ledger in the SGA office and under the Treasurer and Financial Com- mittee of SGA. Miss Rohde asked about the problemts of outside treasuries and social fraternities and stated the Fraternities Committee of which she is Chair- man, is looking into the policies of other colleges. OFFICER REPORTS: 1. Miss Rohde announced that we have four exchange students. 2. Mis Berlett announced that the social charimen are in the process of planning for the major weekends on campus and booking events for the next year. Organizations can now plan events years in advance. 3. Miss Vieser asked for closer regimentation of dittos and paper. 4. Mr. Barkley asked for clarification of May Week elections by Mr. Herbert. 5. Mr. Cullison mentioned the possibility of an SGA class on filling out in- come tax returns. This may be started next year. The committee was in favor of having the course with the stipulation that students could not be charged. SGA or per- haps Special Events could cover the cost. Mr. Cullison reviewed the administration policy on demonstrations on campus. In April this will go to the Faculty Senate and then the Student Senate. Mr. Cullison asked that everyone fillout an alcohol questionnaire. Mr. Cullison announced that on April 3 or 4 Tower Echoes will re-take the Executive Committee's pictures.
