Linthicum, Chairman, 217 St. Paul Street, City-' Dear Sir: - Noting in a newspaper article that the Board has not decided whether to have a competition for the State Normal School build¬ ings, or to retain the services of an architect, whom they may choose for the purpose, I hereby request that you will consider the firm of Wyatt and Nolting for your choice, should you decide to have the de¬ signs made in this wayf our name remaining also among those desiring to take part in the c ompetition f should you • so decide. It is hardly necessary to refer you to the new Baltimore City Court House as the work of our office, and 1 also mention, among other buildings of public character, the new Maryland School for Boys, the Maryland Tuberculosis Sanatorium at Sabillasville, the Fifth Regiment Armory, and the entire scheme and first group of buildings for the Second Hospital for the Insane near Sykesville. Also one of the most important buildings of the Johns Hopkins Hospital, and we are now de¬ signing one of the more important buildings in the development of the * # Johns Hopkins University at Homewood.
