Letter from B. K. Purdum to the Farmers and Merchants National Bank, 1915

July 7, 1915. The Cashier, Farmers and Merchants lational Bank, Cambridge, Maryland. My dear Sir: On January 2, 1915, the account of the Maryland State Hormal School Building Commission was credited with $271.02, ав interest to date. On February 17th, we with¬ drew $5000., and on May 10th, $8339.42; this closed the account with the exception of interest due to that date. We have written you twice, requesting a check for this interest, and have had no reply. Fourteen other banks, in which accounts were closed in the same manner and at the same time, allowed interest to date of withdrawal. \ Please let us hear from you.
