C. 20009 Dear Ms. Brown, Since one of the Forum topics for this year is "new Scholarship on Women," I want to let you know about Towson State University's project, "Integrating the Scholarship on Women: Transforming the Curriculum." We are in the first year of a three-year FIPSE grant for this project, which involves efforts to integrate the new scholarship on women into representative survey courses in many disciplines, including English, history, biology, psychology, sociology, art, business and education. The project includes faculty workshops in which faculty members in each discipline read, analyse, and select materials, revise syllabi, and explore pedagogical and interdisciplinary issues relevant to curriculum change. Then the faculty test and evaluate the reviewed courses in two semesters of classroom teaching, with the workshops serving as the forum in which faculty members can discuss and refine their curricular innovations. Two concluding conferences will permit dissemination of the results of the project.
