Letter from Annette Chappell to Jo-Ann Pilardi and Cas, 1991

March 20, 1991 Jo-Ann and Cas: I've done a little more fiddling with the text of the proposal, and re-set the margins, and performed various other minor cosmetic surgery on the document. It is now at Randy's being printed. Timing is critical -- as I think you know, MHEC only "receives" proposals on 12/15 and 5/15 each year. To make the 12/15 date, we will have to clear all on-campus approvals before the end of this semester. I will therefore submit the proposal simultaneously to the CLA Curriculum Comm. and the University Currie. Comm. -- since it's a change of designation but not a change of program content, I think that will work. And getting both of them to approve in April is our one and only chance for getting on the May agenda of the University Senate. Keep your fingers crossed! Jo-Ann, I need to talk with you about the UMCP request for a statement of support. I'll be in on 3/21 but not on 3/22, so if you're not here on 3/21 then please see me early next week. Thanks.
