July 2, 1964 Porch Meeting minutes

Minutes of Porch Meeting July 2, 1964 The first meeting of the summer porch committee was called to order at 7:30 p.m. July 2, 1964, on the Student Centre Patio by S.G.A. president Ken Masters. Those present were asked to introduce themselves to the group. Ken Masters then introduced Dr. Hawkins who spoke to the committee on the problems of expansion at Towson and the coming centennial celebration. Ken Masters spoke on the problems facing the S.G.A. in the coming year. A question and answer period followed. Mary Joy Kreller, co-chairman of the leadership conference committee, announced the dates of the fall conference, October 9 and 10, and the committees to be established. Students were asked to sign up woth her or Keith Harmeyer to be on committees by the next porch meeting. Students were also asked to submit suggestions for workshop topics. It was decided that there will be two more proch meetings July 23 and August 13, both on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. Refreshments were then served in the dining room.
